Here’s something a little different! My good friends Jenn and Eamon convinced me to come out and meet their good lookin’ new addition to the family: Hudson! Only a few weeks old and still pretty sleepy, we got lucky when he opened his eyes and played nice with a ‘welcome to the world’ photoshoot… here’s a preview for the family.
Kicking off the green season of 2014 are my awesome friends Norm and Theresa! Not only are they getting married in the near future, they agreed to let me make sure my camera still works after a long winter break! I’m looking forward to their wedding in what I can only expect will be a great time filled with smiles, high fives, and possibly a sword, or wand… or both.
These guys are cool.
These guys are so cool they froze the city into an oasis of snow, sleet, and finger numbing guitar solos from the icicle gods… AND WE WENT OUTSIDE TO TAKE PICTURES!
Big thanks to Cable Street for sticking out the weather and putting together a solid photoshoot.
Not having any kids of my own, I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on the delicious treats and great people of the PCL Kids Christmas Party! I was lucky enough to be there this year to capture kids, both young and old, react to Santa and presents galore. But my by far favorite moments were watching the youngest ones see Santa for the first time and either go straight into a solid cry, or just light up with the biggest smile!
Here’s a couple samples from the day
In what was likely the second coldest shoot of the year (I’m starting to think it actually just keeps getting colder until spring shows up… Canadian winters, eh!?), I had the great opportunity to meet up with the Dunnette family. They were all great sports for sticking through the numb toes and fingers, and putting on the happiest faces.
A couple months ago I had the pleasure of shooting the awesome group of guys that are Aberdeen. Well, things change, new looks are needed, and they invited me out for another round of photo shoot fun. The only questionable part about this plan was the weather and the crazy -18c day we picked to do it all! The band did not disappoint with what was both my coldest and craziest shoot on the books…
For something a little different, Carla approached me looking for a photo booth a little while after I finished up their engagement shoot. You can’t really say no to trying out some new stuff with an ridiculously fun couple, so we agreed on a background and off I went to get everything set up for the big day.
I’M A MOVIE STAR! Well, at least I can say I’ve been on the set of one…
I had a great time with Jamie and Felix this evening; their recent engagement was awesome news, and being good friends of mine I knew we’d have a blast taking some pictures! Felix was able to get us into some old movie / television sets over at his Dad’s farm (THANKS!) and we spent a gorgeous Sunday afternoon taking photos in between fits of laughter.
I had the great pleasure of spending some weekend time with the Love family down at Fish Creek Park a little while ago. Not only were there no bugs in sight but the weather was great, the leaves were turning, and best of all there were smiles all around!
