I’m getting really good at picking cold days to be outside! It’s gotta be a secret talent I don’t even realize… but big thanks to Linda and Shawn for braving the cold Canadian wind we had last weekend! Linda and Shawn are getting ready for their wedding next summer (guaranteed to be warmer than this session) so we had a little outing at the UofS to get used to the camera and give them some engagement shots. As the photos show, we had a great time!
Part II of my trip to Calgary was the main reason I was in town: Andrew & Marchella’s wedding! This gorgeous couple had an amazing wedding (like, really amazing… see photos below!) and the amount of friends and family that showed up from near and far blew me away. I couldn’t be happier to share my view of their day
I’m so lucky that every time I travel to Calgary I’ve got great people to see and hang out with, and that was no different when I met up with Jamie and Penelope who are very close to bringing a little one into the world! The weather was a sunny break from the monsoon season Calgary’s been getting so Confederation Park made the perfect green background.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING!
I guess I shouldn’t shout, but the wife and I had a great time with Amber and Devon this weekend for their wedding here in Saskatoon. The first here in town (hopefully of many yet to come), it was held at Boffins on the University grounds and I really have to say I’m impressed with that area! So we had an absolutely stunning backdrop to make use of, an amazing group of people to spend it with, and some serious style… this was the recipe for a dream photography gig!
We recently put up the engagement post, but here’s the wedding! Trent and Tanis tied the knot on a gorgeously sunny day in Calgary and we were lucky to spend a big chunk of it outside and cruising around town in a limo. Big congratulations to the newlywed couple
Trent and Tanis approached me to take photos for their wedding, but they had a couple requirements: it’s going to be on a Friday the 13th and we want it to be scary. So of course we met up on a warm spring day in Calgary and had them chased around by our mysterious murderer, Jason!
Here’s a preview of the album for the couple
I made a trip out to Calgary this past weekend and met up with Marchella and Andrew for a little pre-wedding shoot. Luckily for us the weather was around a sunny +18c so we ended up having a great time outside in Kensington.
I had a great visit with Aaron, Aneta and Benjamin when they invited me out to capture some photos of the family before the new little one shows up! And thanks to some great resources (Carey!), we found this gem of a location at the UofS which worked great while it got colder outside!
I had the great chance to meet up with Ashley and Kevin while I was in Calgary for the holidays to take some maternity shots. We originally met a few years back to shoot their engagement in Canmore (which turned out great!), so it was nice to catch up and see how things were going… especially now that they have a little one on the way!
